Everyone Has a Part to Play in Reducing Chloride Impacts
Annual training does not need to look the same for each employee, but there are some basic components to cover:
All Staff
- Review organization’s plan or policy so everyone knows their roles and responsibilities
- Review the impacts of chlorides on our built and natural environments
Examples of specialized training by job responsibilities:

- Review routes/sites and understand route/site specific concerns
- Good housekeeping procedures – clean-up after storm and after season
- Calibration techniques
- Weather forecasting services and decision-making procedures
- Brine making equipment and procedures
